Los Angeles CPR Classes – 3 Tips to Help Save Money on Your CPR Class

Your boss just told you: your CPR card has expired and you can’t go back to work until you take a course. What are you doing? Before you start scouring the internet for a lesson, make sure you are aware of these 3 things!

Tip No. 1: find out exactly which certification you need! There are many types of certifications and not all are the same. Find out if your employer requires you to have a Basic Life Support (BLS) class for healthcare professionals or a standard CPR class. Some employers will only accept major certifications. In this case, be sure to take a course at the American Red Cross (located at 11355 Ohio Ave), the American Heart Association, or the American Safety and Health Institute. These are the 3 most widely recognized certifications in the country. The Red Cross also organizes a Super CPR Day in which they train thousands of people at Los Angeles Angels Stadium. This can be a great option if you need an ARC certification. Check this again! You don’t want to go through a 4 hour class and realize you needed a different certification.

Tip No. 2: ask for a discount! Are you a student? Do you work for a non-profit association? Many discounts are not advertised. Are you going to West LA College? You are crossing the Mt. Sac’s paramedic program? Both of these places should receive a discount on their CPR class if you ask. Remember, it doesn’t hurt to ask!

Tip No. 3 – Get your lesson for free! Many certification companies will give you a free lesson if you bring your friends to class. Another option is to see if you can get a CPR company to come to your office and train your employees on site. And the best part of this? If you organize a class in your office, your boss will usually take the bill! There are some companies in Los Angeles that are mobile and can come to you. The average class size should usually be at least 5 people. Of the worst highway bottlenecks in America, Los Angeles ranks first with interchange 101 and 405! Don’t waste your time sitting in traffic, let the CPR lesson come to you!

By checking this information you are way ahead of the game! Good luck in your search!
